Main Categories and Application Areas of Cab Shock Absorbers

Rubber Cab shock absorber As an important vibration damper, it is widely used in various types of machinery, automobiles, railway locomotives, marine vessels, aircraft, and other flying vehicles. In fact, wherever vibration isolation and damping are required, rubber cab mounts should be employed.

Rubber cab shock absorbers are classified, in a narrow sense, according to their shape as follows:

(1) Compression-type: This rubber cab shock absorber is primarily designed for compressive loads. Its advantages include high load-carrying capacity; however, its elastic modulus in the compression direction must not be too low.

(2) Cylindrical type: This type of rubber Cab shock absorber It can be used to damp vibrations in the axial, radial, torsional, and rocking directions of a shaft. Similar to compression-type rubber cab mounts, it is employed in vertical shafts; its load‑carrying capacity is generally high, but its spring constant should not be set too low.

(3) Composite type: This is a rubber cab mount shock absorber used in combined compression and shear directions, exhibiting intermediate characteristics between the compression and shear types.

(4) Shear-type: This type of rubber cab mount is primarily used in the shear direction. It has a relatively low load-carrying capacity, but its advantage is that the spring constant can be selected to be quite small.

Rubber cab shock absorbers are classified according to their functions as follows:

(1) A dynamic vibration absorber used to eliminate vibrations at a specific frequency;

(2) Rubber couplings are also included within the scope of rubber cab shock absorbers;

(3) Rubber springs used as mechanical actuating components;

(4) Supports narrow rubber cab shock absorbers for various types of equipment;

(5) Rubber cab shock absorbers for impact absorption.

Cab shock absorber What fields have they all been applied to?

Cab shock absorbers are used in many applications, leading some to mistakenly believe that air‑conditioner shock absorbers are simply a type of rubber cab shock absorber—this is not the case. Air‑conditioner shock absorbers belong to the category of damping‑spring shock absorbers. Although they incorporate rubber, their primary central component is a spring; therefore, they should be classified as damping‑spring shock absorbers.

1. The vibration‑damping performance of the air conditioner’s mounting system must be verified; do not rely on experience alone to prevent resonance, poor damping efficiency, and excessive energy loss.

2. To ensure the balance of equipment and devices, the deformation of the cab shock absorbers should be adjusted simultaneously.

3. When refining the installation, for symmetrical machinery, the vibration isolators shall be arranged symmetrically.

4. While maintaining equipment stability, you can slightly adjust the position of the shock absorbers to ensure that each one experiences uniform deformation.

5. For asymmetric machinery, when the center of gravity and the center of mass are significantly offset, shock absorbers of different models within the same series can be used to ensure that each absorber exhibits the same deformation under varying loads.

6. For diagonal vibration isolation systems, Cab shock absorber The center of gravity should coincide with the equipment’s center of gravity as closely as possible. As can be seen above, its air-conditioning vibration isolator is not a rubber isolator, but it is still related.
